I learned a lot about proportions with this one.

I’m so grateful for everyone who put this event together & the opportunity to showcase some of my artwork. This space is something special!✨

There was an elderly Asian woman & her son (20s-30s) with a slight language barrier admiring my art. They initially wanted to enter my raffle.
($2 for a chance to win a free painting) 🖼️
Instead she just bought this one she wanted with her 5 $1 coins. 😩
I’m beating myself up for forgetting to take a picture.

That moment still speaks to me so profoundly.
I completely understand having things priced reasonably, however within the time frame I had, a raffle was all I could do in that department.
What I want still stands for what I want. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I don’t even think it was a price thing.
She saw beauty in this painting I really wouldn’t have cared to give to her for free. 😭

Anyway, these coins will forever keep me hungry, and humble. No, my wallet didn’t make bank tonight but my soul did. My heart grew bigger for those who tried to make it, showed up to support, I ran into or introduced myself to. 💯

If you think I’m sitting back down,
