Enter a world where enchantment meets danger in Hansel and Gretel, Engelbert Humperdinck’s timeless opera based on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale. This fully staged production, directed by Kathryn Hartgrove and performed by Georgia State University’s talented voice students, brings each character to life through Humperdinck’s opulent and expressive music.

Follow two brave siblings as they journey into the deep, dark forest. Where resilience, courage, and the bond of family are put to the test. Filled with sweeping melodies, emotional depth, and magical storytelling, Hansel and Gretel offers an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.

The Campus Orchestra’s recent performance marked the final concert for Professor Clements, whose years of dedication, leadership, and artistry have shaped the ensemble and the music department in lasting ways. Her impact extends far beyond the stage, and we are incredibly grateful for all she has given to this community. The Campus Orchestra and the music department will not be the same without her, and she will be deeply missed.

It was also MM student Garrett’s last performance with the orchestra. We’ll miss him and are so thankful for all he brought to the group.

This Wednesday’s concert features the winners of the 2025 Brumby Concerto Competition! Come hear Rae Baker, Blaze Benavides, & Austin Mellen showcase their talents alongside the GSU Symphony Orchestra, in addition to some other crowd favorites by Khachaturian and Dvořák. It’s a concert you won’t want to miss!

We’re less than one week away from our GSU Symphony Orchestra concert at the Rialto Center! Come hear Strauss’ dazzling Vienna Philharmonic Fanfare, Shostakovich’s second piano concerto featuring outstanding soloist Miya Suen, and Coleridge-Taylor’s dramatic Hiawatha Suite.

This concert is part of the Scholarship Series, so all ticket purchases go directly towards scholarships for current and future students. Buy your tickets now!
