Captured a breathtaking moment in Aruba as my daughter and son-in-law ventured toward the shoreline, where massive waves crash against ancient volcanic formations. Positioned my camera near a shallow puddle, 50 feet behind them, to frame their silhouettes against the dramatic splashes—a perfect blend of nature’s power and serene togetherness.

Aruba’s rugged coastline is shaped by the Aruba Lava Formation, a geological marvel dating back to the Cretaceous period. This formation, primarily composed of basalt, diabase, and volcaniclastics, has been sculpted over millions of years, creating the stunning landscapes we see today.

When I first encountered Gato’s latest series, I was immediately struck by the vividness and creativity of his work.
