Our 4th and final Fair Queen Candidate.....

My name is Olivia Kochendorfer I am 16 years old. I have a young horse named Lady and are currently in the works of putting her on the barrel pattern and getting her to be a well rounded horse! I also have a dog Ivy who is a springer spaniel and I enjoy taking her hunting for pheasants! My parents are Trisha Winchell and Tyler Kochendorfer and I have two amazing younger siblings Finn and Stella. I currently go to Medford Area Senior high where I have gone since pre-k, I have been involved in FFA since 7th grade. I have shown at both Taylor county fair as well as Athens fair. I would be honored to be your 2026 Athens fair queen!

Hi I’m Kyley Turner, a passionate FFA member deeply involved in showing horses and goats, I have a genuine love for all aspects of agriculture. Balancing my time between the barn and the rink as I also figure skate with the Medford Figure Skating Club's most advanced group. Inspired by fair and rodeo queens since childhood, I am eager to give back to the community and cherish opportunities to work with kids, making me a well-rounded candidate ready to represent our fair with enthusiasm and dedication.

Our next Fair Queen Candidate...

My name is Payton Neitzel. I am 16 years old and I am from the local area. My parents are Cole & Taylor Neitzel, and Lisa & Mason Burger. I really enjoy helping my bonus grandparents Todd & Cindy Frahm at Landmark Bar & Grill, and talking to the people around the community. I’ve always loved going to the fair events and being part of the community. During the school year, I participate in competitive dance, and I’ve been dancing since I was about four years old. Dance has taught me confidence, dedication, and how to step outside of my comfort zone. I’m beyond excited to be running for Fair Queen and can’t wait to continue growing, meeting new people, and representing this amazing community!

Starting with...Danica Knott

My name is Danica Knott, I am a 2026 graduate of Athens High School. My parents are Krissy and Jim Knott. I have been involved in FFA since my freshman year of high-school and served as the chapter reporter my junior year and chapter vice president my senior year. Through the Athens FFA I have shown dairy cows at the Athens Fair for the past 2 years, as well as artwork and photography. The Athens Fair has always meant a lot to me and I would be honored to be your next Athens Fair Queen.

Throughout this video Isabella your current Fair Queen and Carlissa your fair queen coordinator will go over common questions and obligations of the Athens Fair Queen. 👑✨

What happens when I sign up? You will receive your first set of tickets, a Fair Queen Candidate sash, and a $50 gift card to Cenex or A&L

Do I have to show animals to sign up for Fair Queen? No you do not we encourage everyone from different backgrounds to apply, no animal experience needed! 👩🏼‍🌾

What if I don’t live in Athens but want to run? That’s ok! As long as you live within the Athens Fair Area! 🏡

Do I still get to ride in the parade if I don’t win? Yes, all candidates get to ride in the parade! 🚗

How do I apply and when are applications due? You can apply by texting or emailing your filled out form to the contacts provided on the sign up sheet! All applications are due by May 24 and can be found on the Fair Website 🌷💐
