Congratulations to the cast of ‘The Phantom Tollbooth’ directed by W. Steven Carroll. This whimsical and wonderful play is going to be truly magical! What a fantastic way to kick off our 74th season!! The show runs October 2-11, 2026, tickets for our upcoming 74th season will be available soon! We can’t wait to see you at the theater 🎭

Skip (First Guard) Skip Hulett (Private Jonas) has been a T&G
Player and Athens community theatre actor since 2012. His
T&G dramatic roles include Colonel Jessup in A Few Good Men, Sweat, Harding One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and Uncle Charlie in August: Osage County. Most recently, he was cast as Joe in The Shadow Box. He is a retired UGA rare book librarian, an occasional short-film actor and a cheap tv/movie extra.

David (Second Guard) David Douds (Guard 2 / Corporal) is an
attorney who has called Athens his home for the past seven years. This is his debut with Town & Gown, a critical step towards truly becoming a townie. He has enjoyed local theater since childhood watching his grandfather act in plays in Fort Washington, Maryland. You may have seen David on stage improvising with his Flying Squid Comedy friends since 2024. When not working and pursuing “loud hobbies,” David enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Merrielle and his cat Barney. He thanks everyone involved for being so welcoming.

Rachel (Antigone) Rachel is excited to take to the Town & Gown stage once more, having previously appeared as Medea in Medea and Lydia Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. She has loved bringing this show to life under Derek and Sarah’s guidance & fearless leadership, and she hopes to do Antigone some justice. When not acting, Rachel can be found bringing her signature weird, slightly off-putting energy to Athentic’s Monday night trivia, Live Wire’s Tiki Taco Tuesday, and other such townie haunts. She would like to thank her husband, Alex, for his love and support 2019-present, as well as her mother, Julia, for her love and support 1997-present. Also, shoutout to Hazel and to Jackie, Evan, and Algy; those are the homies fr.

Nathan (Creon) Nathan Orck started in theater by working with Town & Gown Players behind the scenes in 2022, serving on set and wardrobe crews. He started performing on stage in 2023 in after being encouraged to by his dear friend Dylan. Since then he has played Tony Delvecchio in the T&G production of Disaster! The Musical, Holmes in ACT’s Blue Stockings, Professor Fritz Bhaer in Collective Artists Workshop’s Little Women the Musical, Daddy Cane/Dr. Nordquist in the T&G Production of Bright Star, The Baker in CAW’s Into the Woods, and Mr. Maraczek in the T&G production of She Loves Me. Nathan is grateful to Dylan for their encouragement and coaching, to Dallas Bono for his coaching and confidence, to his best friend Doog for holding down the fort at their home, and to YOU for coming to see the show!
