Good afternoon my peeps! Long time no message. I have been busy with just life stuff. Still adjusting to the new kitten Marlee Louise. It's rough some days. She has certainly made herself at home. She likes a good bit of people food. She even likes Watergate Salad! Strawberry yogurt, and pumpkin! I only let her have small amounts.

I am ready for the cooler weather. I am enjoying the humming birds stopping in on their migration. On a personal note, I am back to eating healthy and I have lost 25 pounds. I have really cut back on carbs and sugar.

The picture of the sewing machine foot is what I use to stitch the binding down on a quilt. This is after it has been sewn on to the backside of the quilt first with a regular foot. This is just for stitching it down on the front. Clear as mud? I will bring the handouts to the next meeting. Several have asked me for them.

Happy stitching!

Good morning my peeps! Life with Marlee Louise (new kitten) sure is different. She is full of energy and wants to explore EVERYTHING!!! She discovered toilet tissue this week. I keep a spray water bottle by my chair. Then she can be so sweet and loving. Anyway...

Our meeting this month will be a live demo on how to make bias binding. It is a quick and easy way without having to make a tube. You will also get a handout on how to do it.

Hope to see you at the meeting.

Good afternoon my peeps! It has been a busy week. Had my mammogram Wednesday and went to TOC Thursday. I had a bone density test and I have pretty severe osteoporosis. Was having a lot of hip pain. Anyway...long story short I have two issues with my hip. No surgery will be necessary. Injection has done wonders. And will need a different injection for sciatica issue. Plus, I am back to eating healthy and I have lost 20 pounds since July 10th.

I tried a new recipe today that I will share. Oh my goodness it's delicious!!! I used a mini muffin tin. Put salami in the bottom, add a little cream cheese. Sprinkle with Everything Bagel, add a Wickles Dirty Dill Cocktail pickle then top with shredded cheddar cheese. I put them in the air fryer on 325 for 8 to 10 minutes. They are soooo good!

We had a great meeting. We had a good crowd that came to eat also. It's a great way to get to know each other. Just ask for the quilt ladies table.

I will share our Show and Tell.

SEW DAY MONDAY AUGUST 10, AT 3 HENS AND A CHICK. THEY OPEN AT 10 A.M. BRING YOUR LUNCH OR ORDER OUT.

Guild meeting is Thursday August 5th.

Supper at 5 at Burrito Express. Everyone is welcome.

Meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at Friendship Church on Lucas Ferry Rd in Athens, Alabama.

Good afternoon my peeps. A lot of information to pass on to you this week. Please mark your calendars! On the Sew Day you can bring whatever you want to work on. Or, if you need help with a project you can bring that too. We are easy...lol.

Little Marlee is fitting in so good. She is definitely suppose to be my cat she loves strawberry yogurt and a Publix Mojo chicken! She sleeps all night. She doesn't get to have free roam all the time yet. She has no fear of the big cats at all. And she has the loudest little purr. She is getting to where she will come and get in my lap when she starts getting sleepy. Of course that just melts my heart.

I turned to page seven of eight on my cross stitch pattern today! Woo hoo that's a biggy.

This is Tessa and Marlee looking out the window. Well...Tessa was. My bushes have grown like crazy from all the rain. I am so ready for cooler weather.

Happy stitching!

Tuesday

Well good afternoon my peeps! I had forgotten what life with a kitten was like. Marlee Louise is very good. She sleeps all night and uses her pan. She has no fear of the big cats. They have for the most part quit hissing at her. I am surprised little Flossie is not dehydrated! Marlee started coming and getting in my lap Sunday. She has the loudest little purr. Todays incidents include knocking the Roku thingy and other box off and behind the TV, swinging on a quilt on my wall, and running through my salad bowl in my lap! I bet nobody else has Ranch dressing paw prints on their floor! And oh yeah, she jumped on my magnifier lamp and rode it to the floor. She also likes paper. She has chewed my cross stitch pattern! But...I sure did need her and we love her now.

I thought I would share some boxes with y'all. I don't know why but I have always loved boxes.

Happy stitching!

Thursday

Good morning my peeps! Well...Marlee Louise is here. My new kitten. You know from the minute I saw this little kitten I loved her. I knew she was going to be mine. My big cats...they are not so happy about the situation, but adjusting pretty well. She is out and free roaming for the most part. She has the loudest little purr. She certainly has made herself at home. And has no fear of the big cats. Poor little Flossie has hissed herself to death. I lock her up at night so they can have a break. I sure have said "No no don't do that!" a bunch! She pulled the tail off of a toy mouse and the tongue off of their toy snake! She is wide open! Anyway...that is what I have been up too.

Happy stitching.

July 14, 2026

Good afternoon my peeps! Oh my goodness...it all started by watching Clutterbug on YouTube. I have been cleaning out closets and pantries. Making better use of where things go. I found a really nice food processor in the garage that I would like to use. So...it is now in the baking pantry. In case you are wondering my whole house was literally moved out into the garage almost five years ago. So, I would just bring in things as I found them. Well, after being back in the house and getting into my routine some spaces have changed. So...if I don't like it now...it's gone. I love old glassware and pretty dishes. But, I use my storage bowls more than pretty dishes. And I want things to where I can reach them without a ladder. So...I have been doing a lot of decluttering and rearranging. I did have to cross stitch a short while to settle my nerves! Maybe this will inspire someone else.

Happy stitching!
