Getting ready for Art House Dallas at Aloft Dallas Downtown

Yesterday I built the transport boxes. Today I delivered my paintings to Aloft Dallas Downtown for the Art House Dallas exhibition!

There’s something special about sending work out of the studio, where it has been part of my everyday life, into a space where others will encounter it and bring their own stories to it.

My Favelas paintings invite a closer look—beyond the buildings, toward the lives and connections within them. I’m looking forward to sharing them with you.

The exhibition runs October 1–November 30. If you’re in Dallas, I hope you’ll stop by!

What first appeared as a collection of homes gradually revealed itself as a collection of stories.

My Favelas paintings grew from visiting communities in Rio de Janeiro and meeting people whose lives gave new meaning to the architecture. The layered structures drew my attention; the relationships and stories stayed with me.

I’m happy to share that my work will be included in Art House Dallas’s Annual Gallery Exhibit at Aloft Dallas Downtown, October 1–November 30.

If you’re in Dallas this fall, I invite you to spend some time with the paintings and look a little closer.
