One of my favorite things about being a mother is revisiting or discovering new stories to read to Birdie. We learn about friendship, ingenuity, bravery, fairness (or unfairness!), silliness… all through the mouths of talking animals; elephants, mice,  birds, fish, pigs, cats, toads, hens, etc. Unsurprisingly, in my winter studio slow down, I found the time to merge this sweet pastime with another love of mine, Delft.

A small 4x4 and a large 6x6 tile seen here in test sketches that hopefully pass through the kiln with vibrant results!
