Our very first initial seed funding round is live via Indiegogo!

The goal? To retain 100% ownership so that we can ensure each and every penny is being well spent for the benefit of the children in the academy.

We fully believe it takes a village to raise a child, and that it takes a community to raise a business.

Of course many expenses will fall back on our shoulders, and for those of you that really understand the ins and outs you know that money flows uphill, not down.

That said, we fully appreciate all of you for even taking the time to read this post and cannot wait to bring this into our community and hopefully one day YOUR community as well.

So what does “Touch Grass” mean? And why did I go with that name?

Well Touch Grass means just that! Stand up, Back away from your Keyboard/Remote Controller, and go outside and Touch the grass.

It’s derived from the depths of chatrooms, and headset conversations, where competing E-Sports players do what they do best. Talk “Smack” to each other.

Touch Grass Academy will provide our young clients with more than a foundation to build a community of gamers. We will also include a Fitness area within each of our facilities and every day will consist of a time dedicated to physical activity.

I chose this name because it’s relatable, relevant, but most of all true. Children have secluded themselves more and more as time goes on and screens multiply, and while it’s important to stay ahead with all the new technology in our world it’s even more important to “Touch Grass.”
