🚨 **A troubling development for LGBTQ+ youth protections.**

A federal court has permanently blocked Michigan from enforcing the portion of its law that prohibited licensed mental health professionals from providing conversion "talk therapy" to minors. The decision follows a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling involving a similar Colorado law.

For many LGBTQ+ people, this is deeply concerning.

Every major mainstream medical and mental health organization has warned that efforts to change a person's sexual orientation or gender identity can cause significant psychological harm. LGBTQ+ youth deserve affirmation, compassion, and evidence-based care—not pressure to become someone they are not.

No child should ever be made to feel that who they are is something to be "fixed."

This legal decision applies to Michigan, but it reminds us why our work matters. Creating safe, welcoming communities isn't just about celebrating Pride for one weekend each year—it's about standing beside LGBTQ+ people every day, especially our youth.
