Dance Together for 2's & 3's; Pre-Dance I&II, Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop International Dance Educators Association.

Astoria Dance Center is located 42-16 28th Avenue, Floor 2 Astoria, New York 11103. Our faculty members hold University Degrees in Dance or are certified members of the Dance Educators of America, the Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey, NDEO National Dance Educators Organization and I.D.E.A. Dance, Piano and Voice lessons for boys and girls all ages and levels

Toddler dance classes include

Dance Together for 2's & 3's with Mom or Dad and Pre-Dance I for ages 3 and 4. Children's dance classes include Pre-Dance II for ages 4 and 5 , Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Tap and Jazz and Modern Dance. Plus ADC's Broadway Bound Class -- dance, acting and singing all in one class. Teen dance classes include Ballet, Tap, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Modern Dance. Music Lessons: Piano and Private Voice lessons are available.

“I will be attending Molloy University in the fall for Environmental Science and Biology.”

“I am looking forward to learning new things and making new friends.”

✨ What will you miss about ADC?
“I am going to miss the wonderful classes, supporting teachers and of course, the great dance recitals!”

❤Sofia has been dancing for 15 years. She's been dancing since she was 2!

❤ She will be graduating from Saint John’s Preparatory.

✨ What college will you be attending?
"I will be attending Hamilton College in the fall for Psychology."

✨ What are you looking forward to in college?
"I am looking forward to making new friends in college and getting the change to live independently in a new place!"

✨ What will you miss about ADC?
"I am going to miss my family at ADC the most. I love my Rubies like I love my family and I don’t know what I’ll do without them. I’m going to miss all of the teachers who have believed in me and supported me, and all of the littles I assist! I love teaching and I’ll miss my kids so much."

Thank you to all of our dancers that participated in our showcase benefitting Dréa’s Dream this past weekend! With your support, we raised $1,536!

Dréa’s Dream is a pediatric dance therapy program across the United States that is funded by The Andréa Rizzo Foundation. The Andréa Rizzo Foundation was established in memory of Andréa Rizzo, a beautiful young woman who survived childhood cancer and was tragically killed by a drunk driver at age twenty-four. Andréa’s dream was to become a dance therapist and give children with cancer and disabilities the gift of dance. With the support of many, her dream has become a reality.

✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHT✨'

Today we are featuring graduating senior, Rebecca Lasko!

❤Rebecca has been dancing for 8 years.
❤ Her favorite style of dance is Modern. Rebecca said..."I love the storytelling involved in this style and the unique movement involved that is unlike anything I've done before. This makes the dance so much fun every rehearsal."
❤ She will be graduating from Monsignor McClancy Memorial High School.

We asked Rebecca...
✨ What college will you be attending?
"I'm going to Adelphi University and majoring in psychology."

✨ What are you looking forward to in college?
"Something I am most excited to do in college is to decorate my dorm, specialize in courses for the career I want and be able to learn about it, and experience living on my own for the first time which I am both nervous and really excited for."

✨ What will you miss about ADC?
"There is so much I am going to miss about ADC but the two things that come to mind are the friendships I've made and the classes I assist in teaching. I've met such kind girls in my classes and I'll probably always miss spending time with them every week. In addition, I've learned and grown so much in my time assisting at the front desk and in the pre-dance classes on Saturdays, and I will miss all of my co-workers and students who I've grown to love and appreciate in my time here. The overall environment and safe place that ADC has provided is something I will forever cherish as I enter this next chapter"
