I am teaching a couple of adult beginner dance classes in the city this week (sorry not in Astoria). Please check them out!

Perform with us!

Project Connect new member training course is happening soon at You Should Be Dancing...! Dance Center!!

Sundays: 3-4:30pm
April 27th, May 4th, 11th, 25th, June 1st, 8th, 15th, & 22nd

Requirement: Fluency with Lindy Hop moves including 6 count, 8 count and Charleston. Some experience with air steps and fast dancing is a plus! Must Register with a Partner by April 26th.

Project Connect brings an interactive dance theater to underserved communities including nursing homes and NYC schools showcasing authentic Lindy Hop while educating the history of the dance. If you are passionate about dancing and performing, and would like to dedicate your time and energy to share the joy of dancing with underserved communities, we highly recommend trying out this workshop!

Students will work towards a performance at a nursing home in early July. The course will be taught by Akemi Kinukawa and Project Connect company members including Rafal Pustelny!!
Pricing: $350 In Adv (by 4/21) / $390 (after 4/21)

Tomorrow Thursday, there will be a free event with an amazing swing band at Astoria Park from 6 to 7pm! Check out the info from the organizer below.

"This special performance as part of the Queens Jazz Trail features the renowned George Gee Swing Orchestra. This free event will take place at Astoria Park, and we encourage all swing dancers to attend and bring their dance shoes! It promises to be an incredible evening of music, dance, and community celebration. We would love to see dancers there, enjoying the live swing music and showcasing their dance skills!"

"The event will be located by the new pool that was opened this summer by 23rd Rd and 19th St."
