Center Stage Productions is hosting auditions for its upcoming production of The Prom, which will perform August 6th-9th. Tentatively, rehearsals will begin the week of Monday, June 1st and will take place three times a week to start. We are projecting those days will follow a Monday Wednesday Thursday schedule, but that cadence is subject to change based on cast availability, which will be determined when casting is complete.

We are seeking a dynamic and diverse ensemble of teens/young adults and adults (ages 13 and up) for CSP’s production of The Prom. Center Stage Productions is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusivity in its work and encourages performers of all ethnicities, races, backgrounds, and gender expressions to audition. For the roles portrayed by adults, we have listed an approximation of the starting age we are considering for these roles, and though we will largely be considering actors from that age and up, all actors are encouraged to audition for what they feel suits them best.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
For our Wednesday, May 13th auditions, an accompanist will be provided. For Saturday, May 16th, we will be operating auditions with accompaniment tracks only. Please plan accordingly. Though you are permitted to use a track when attending the Wednesday, May 13th audition date, it is encouraged that you try to attend our Saturday, May 16th audition date if planning to use a track.

Invited Dance and General Callbacks Monday May 18th 5:30 P.M. to 10:30 P.M. (Schedule Released Prior to Callbacks)

WHAT TO PREPARE:
Please prepare 32 bars of a contemporary musical theater piece or pop/rock song. We just want to see something that you love to sing and makes you happy. Please bring sheet music (for Wednesday, May 13th as an accompanist will be provided or a prepared accompaniment track (for Saturday May 16th)).

Center Stage Productions will be presenting THE PROM August 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2026. The final and largest production of our summer season, our Mainstage is an event our audiences look forward to every year.

We will be seeing all performers ages 13 and up for this larger-than-life production. We had an amazing turnout for our Showcase Workshop this summer, and though it is currently sold out, THE PROM is a perfect opportunity for younger performers audition for the opportunity to potentially join other young adults and adults on the Mainstage for this production.

THE PROM exemplifies everything that defines CSP, bringing together performers of all ages to create magic together while learning from and growing alongside one another all summer long. We could not be more excited to be presenting this piece, and we are looking forward to gathering an incredible community to tell this story.

Four eccentric Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue… and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to make a difference, the Broadway stars team up with the courageous student, leading to a transformation that brings everyone together in the name of love and acceptance. Join us Thursday November 13th at 8 P.M. for a special one-night only preview performance of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”

This performance is in conjunction with The Arts Guild at Neumann University and features members of Center Stage Productions, The Delaware County Symphony, and Neumann University Staff, Faculty, and Alumni. All proceeds go toward benefitting the intended Nicholas J. DiMarino Black Box Theatre at Neumann University.

We have created a special 40th anniversary tshirt fundraiser to help raise money and create unity within our CSP family. The back of the shirt displays so many of the amazing shows that we have produced over the last 40 years.
