What a week! Our second debut was at the info booth of this past Big Dub! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and feelings with us, we look forward to posting your words soon! I n v i c t u s

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

The Limerick is a 5 lined poem with 9 syllables in the first, second, and fifth lines, and 6 in the third and fourth.

They are quick, witty and admired by layman and clergy alike. Not all Limericks are sexually playful, some are as functional as they are fun.
Their “origins...are shrouded in mystery” with records dating back to “448?-?380 B.C.” by the great Greek Comic Aristophanes.
Bravo for surviving the test of time!
