This weekend! ✨ We are so excited to host master potter Hsin-Chuen Lin for a 2-day workshop on wheel throwing + surface decoration techniques!

During this workshop—designed for intermediate + advanced potters—Hsin will teach his meticulous methods for enhancing wheel-thrown surfaces, including chattering, sgraffito, creating crackle patterns and applying roller textures to thrown cylinders prior to “volumizing.” Participants will have ample opportunity to experiment with the provided tools to achieve chattering/carving textures.

Oh man, SO stoked for this one! 🤩 We’re hosting the badass Austin Coudriet Ceramics for his first Oregon workshop! 🎉

From Sept 18-20, Austin will guide you thru the complex, highly technical process of creating large scale ceramic works with a focus on furniture design. Choosing from a chair, stool or side table, students will learn everything from essential handbuilding skills to critical drying + firing techniques to ensure the longevity + stability of their work. Students will walk away from this workshop with the knowledge + confidence to independently work on future projects.
