"Since the beginning of my artistic career, I’ve dedicated my art to serving the needs of the communities I’ve lived in and to expressing the sacredness of life, and in particular, the feminine aspect of the Divine." - Tiziana DellaRovere

Tiziana, a 2025 Grant Recipient, received funding to purchase supplies and equipment to create a large bronze statue of a female form who embodies the maternal love of the sacred feminine. By receiving funding, Tiziana will be able to expand her portfolio, as well as create a statue that will also serve as a maquette for a much larger work to be placed as a fountain in front of the Phoenix Civic Center in Phoenix, and in partnership with the Phoenix Arts and Culture Council.

"There’s a conscious rhythm to the way I teach, which benefits the students and creates a therapeutic environment in which to create beautiful artwork. I begin with a simple poem that reminds everyone that the work we are about to do is important." - Carole Whitridge

Carole, a 2025 Grant Recipient, received funding to purchase supplies and equipment to offer a series of painting classes for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their parents and caregivers. By providing funding, Carole has been able to continue offering high quality, gentle, and kind instruction, as well as a joyful creative experience in a safe, accessible, and therapeutic environment that provides a sense of community and belonging for those who experience disabilities.

At the heart of Micah BlackLight's creative practice is a call to inspire and be inspired. Art, for him, is a universal language - one that births symbols, tells stories, and can awaken empathy, spark joy, and engender moments of profound revelation.

Micah, a 2025 Grant Recipient, received funding to purchase a high power laptop that is capable of handling the layered demands of painting-based image creation, animation, and prototype development. By receiving funding, Micah has been able to create a working prototype for a new creative project that incorporates painting large scale, shifting, and archetypal images that anchor a living and immersive environment through AI.

"I have found that painting trompe l’oeil murals allows our studio to communicate effectively with a large audience. Once intrigued by the illusion, the viewer is invited to visually cross into the mural - to discover and explore the deeper concept." - John Pugh

John, a 2025 Grant Recipient, received funding to organize and facilitate a Native Community Involvement Series for his mural, Where the Crow Lights. By receiving funding, John will be able to provide internships, sessions to refine design elements like native art, and workshops for native communities. Specifically with internships, students will have the opportunity to think about an idea, then convert that idea into a mural painting that emphasizes being heard and understood.
