In essence, working with the concept of good design and interesting materials becomes the focus. Glass engraving is an intricate and ancient craft. I use a dentist drill, carving the glass in reverse under water. There are only a few engravers in the US today. Please support our craft so that it continues for another thousand years.

Back after a long hiatus. New style and new ideas but still a great looking carving. This was conceptualized at the start of the Iran-US war and morphed as I worked on it. It’s an Iranian mandala on a 55cm Demijohn. It’s my dedication to the families who have suffered so terribly during the past 6 months.

This piece was completed 2 years ago and took 8 weeks to carve. It’s quite large at over 30cm (12”). It was smashed en route to Australia during the customs procedure even though it was well packed. When I unpacked it, it had not been repacked properly by customs. Insurance covered the loss but I was still very disappointed and it remains the last major piece that I’ve carved.
