Margot May Designs “I feel extremely fortunate that I have not been restricted by working with only one medium. Making materials do the impossible..."

In essence, working with the concept of good design and interesting materials becomes the focus. Glass engraving is an intricate and ancient craft. I use a dentist drill, carving the glass in reverse under water. There are only a few engravers in the US today. Please support our craft so that it continues for another thousand years.

My final class at VisArts in Richmond VA. It was fun, alive and productive. A great group of glass art teachers in discovery, waiting to share engraving with their own students. Thanks Vis Arts for providing the space and the challenges of keeping glass engraving alive in our community.
