My heart is heavy as I reflect on the passing of Commissioner Lorraine Brown Bamford. Some people hold a special place in your heart because they have been part of your life’s journey for so many years and Commissioner Lorraine was certainly one of those people.

Commissioners Bill Bamford III and Lorraine Bamford served as Divisional Leaders during the planning and construction of the original Ashland Kroc Center. Their leadership, encouragement and support helped lay the foundation for what has become such an important ministry in our Ashland community.

So, when the time came to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of our indoor waterpark expansion, some ten years after breaking ground on the original Kroc Center, we couldn’t think of two more fitting people to invite back as our special guests. At the time the Commissioners were then serving as our Territorial Leaders.

What a joy it was to welcome them back to The Ashland Kroc Center and celebrate another exciting milestone together. Commissioner Lorraine brought such warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine joy to that special day as these photos so beautifully capture.

Major Annalise Francis, myself and the Ashland Kroc community are sending much love and prayers to Commissioner Bill Bamford and the entire family during these difficult days. We love you.

Congratulations to our very own Ashley Hall!

We are so proud to celebrate Ashley, a valued member of The Ashland Kroc Center team, who was recognized at Kroc Con 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona for successfully completing and graduating from the Kroc Leadership Certificate Program! The program, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, is a specialized professional development and training program designed for staff, officers, and non-officers working within The Salvation Army's Kroc Centers.

Ashley works tirelessly behind the scenes, coordinating our rentals and events and making sure everything runs smoothly and successfully. Her hard work, dedication, and attention to detail make such a difference in the daily life of our Kroc Center and the community we serve.

We are incredibly grateful for Ashley, her commitment to excellence, and her heart for the mission of The Salvation Army.

Congratulations, Ashley! This recognition is so well deserved, and we are blessed to have you on our Ashland Kroc team!

The Ashland Kroc Center team is home safe and sound after an incredible week in Phoenix, Arizona, at Kroc Con 2026! 🌵☀️

What a wonderful week of learning, growing, reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and celebrating all things Kroc! So many meaningful takeaways from outstanding speakers and sessions, reminding us of the unique mission and tremendous impact of Kroc Centers across the country.

The Awards Gala is always one of my favorite highlights, and this year certainly did not disappoint! What a joy to celebrate so many deserving individuals and programs who are making a lasting difference in people’s lives. Each award was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do - sharing the love of Christ and transforming communities, one life at a time!

A big thank you to the Western Territory for hosting a Kroc Con we won’t soon forget! You certainly showed us the best of the West!

We’re back inspired, encouraged, and excited to put what we’ve learned into action right here in Ashland, Ohio!

Until we meet again… Kroc Con 2029 in Michigan!

What a spectacular Day 1 at Kroc Con 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona! 🌵☀️

The Ashland Kroc Center team hit the ground running—jet lag and all! And what an incredible day it was! Now on to Day 2!

There is something truly special about gathering with representatives from the 26 Kroc Centers across the country to learn, grow, share ideas, and celebrate this unique ministry of The Salvation Army. Each Kroc Center reflects the community and culture it serves, yet we are all united by one common mission: sharing the love of Christ and making a meaningful difference in our communities.

Grateful for the opportunity to represent the Ashland Kroc Center alongside our amazing team from Ashland. Looking forward to all that the next few days will bring!
