Country Road 7x5 While painting at a nearby lake, I decided to paint one more small subject before I left for the day. I turned around and realized the dirt road leading to the lake would do the trick. The off-hand decision resulted in one of my favorite small paintings. Charleston’s FestivALL 2026 will be occurring September 30-October 4. In conjunction with the effort, Painting the Town, a Plein air event will be taking place. Coordinated /supported by Gallery at the Mound in South Charleston, this will be the first such event in Charleston, and we are truly excited! Yesterday at Goldenrod Kitchen a preview of the events was unveiled to city support group. Gallery at the Mound was asked to show up and do what? …plein air paint, of course.

Open Air Monroe/Greenbrier Counties, WV Alderson’s Memorial Bridge—Listed in National Register of Historic Places in 1991, this bridge was originally considered the longest concrete arch bridge in the state when constructed in 1914.
