Wes is a good guy. I want to help support him, so I’m going to auction off this original, hand-drawn N.Doe cartoon from 1975. All proceeds will be donated directly to his GoFundMe. Wes has overcome a life changing motocross injury for 20 years now, and just needs some support from the MX community. The artwork measures 19” x 25”. Medium : India ink and whiteout (LOL) on cardboard panel. Originally published in Southern California Motocross Newspaper, this artwork is 50 years old. Signed by the artist. Bidding starts at $100. *** All bids must be in the comments of the post on my Instagram page : (NOT here on FB). Auction ends Thursday, June 25 at 12:00 pm PST. You’re probably sick of hearing about how I’m ALMOST done with the ABC dirt bike book. But it’s true. There was one drawing I really wasn’t happy with, and I’m the one who has to live with it. “Artists are their own worst critics”, as they say. I had already reworked the DKW cartoon once, but I just had to redo it one more time at the eleventh hour. Just editing the intro and acknowledgments, and doing some backend technical work, then I should be able to send the files off. Then it’ll be available on Amazon. But…not yet. “Z is for Zundapp”.
