Today I had another scammer lesson about thanks to this person. I called PayPal after whoever this is sent me payment and it never came then sent me a scammer email asking to deposit $400 and I’d get it right along with the amount owed right back to create a PayPal business account. I smelled a rat so I called PayPal and not the number she was trying to get me to call. The rep said the number was fake and so was the email address. They try to say they paid you and your account can’t accept so you call the number and then they steal more of your funds. PayPal has the email, copies of our Facebook chats, and the fake address provided to track them down. I asked how accurate they are and the rep said that you would be surprised how many scammers get caught by their phishing team. I saidd get him or her!! I hate all these scammers trying to pray on me a small little side hustle to get my art out there and seen and get a few bucks to pay for bead and a bill. Im certainly not making big bucks. Shame on you scammers!!
To all my sellers out there- watch out for this fake account and people claiming they are sending it from their “business PayPal account” are usually lying. Call PayPal directly immediately.
I will be looking into selling on a platform that is safer (i.e. Etsy) after having too many of these close calls. Friends and family I know- I will sell directly to you or someone you vouch for. Im sorry to say that Ive had way too many scammers since December and this person was the final nail that removed all my faith in doing small sales via Facebook.
For those who support my beading side hustle and like my work- miigwetch! I truly appreciate you!!
