Asheville!!!! We freaking love you. Seriously, cannot tell you how much this means to us after we’ve worked so hard to keep our doors open and continue to be a resource to the music community.

I'll never forget the first time I saw Malcolm Holcombe play, probably 28 years ago at a little place called Be Here Now that was on Biltmore Avenue.

Here's Malcolm and Dave Roe from around 2007 at the studio. RIP, you legends.

These two...they left so much music. Go find it, it's not difficult.

Our last workshop of our summer series is almost here! Don't miss EQ & Compression on Sunday, July 12, 10am-2pm.

EQ and compression are powerful tools. Used poorly, they can wreck a mix. Used well, they elevate everything. This workshop is ideal for artists mixing their own work, early career engineers, and producers ready to refine their ear. You will work on real session material with Echo Mountain engineers, apply subtractive EQ, shape tone intentionally, and learn how compression actually behaves.

You will learn:
>> How to read and understand the frequency spectrum
>>When to cut versus boost
>> How threshold, ratio, attack, and release change feel
>> How to avoid over processing

You will leave knowing when and why to use these tools, not just how to turn the k***s. A practical deep dive into EQ and compression using real session material.
