Meet Juan Rafael Castellanos, joining Terpsicorps for his 2026 debut!

Born in Dublin and currently dancing with Alabama Ballet, Juan brings a wealth of experience from his time with Charlotte Ballet and the Metropolitan Ballet Academy. Having worked with legendary figures like Patricia McBride and Twyla Tharp, he is a versatile artist who knows how to command a stage, we look forward to his first season with us!

Currently a company member with Alabama Ballet, Jacy has spent years honing her craft with companies like Cincinnati Ballet and Charlotte Ballet. A recipient of the Professional Advancement Award at Jacob’s Pillow, she is known for her vibrant performances in principal roles in classical and contemporary works alike. We can’t wait to see her shine in AscenDANCE!

☀️ SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER DANCE & FOOD DRIVE ☀️

Middle schoolers from across WNC are invited to kick off summer with a fun night of music, dancing, snacks, party lights, and friends!

🎶 Music chosen by the crowd
🧦 Shoes-off dance floor (fun socks encouraged!)
❤️ Food drive benefiting MANNA FoodBank
📵 Phone-free during most of the event for a more connected experience

Open to all current WNC 6th–8th graders.

Admission is $15, and students are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the MANNA collection. Any remaining proceeds support Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance’s Community Ticket Program.

Welcome the wonderful Emma Guertin to the 2026 company! 🩰

Emma joins us from Ballet RI, bringing an extensive repertoire that includes principal roles in classics like Cinderella and Swan Lake, as well as in contemporary works. Originally from Canada, her career has taken her from Orlando to Atlanta, working with world-renowned choreographers along the way. Get ready for her to bring a powerful theatrical energy to the stage this July!

A standing ovation for Ford & Jeanene Perry, our Presenting Patrons for Salvatore Aiello’s Clowns & Others.

As a former cast member of this remarkable work, Jeanene understands firsthand the importance of keeping Aiello’s choreographic voice alive. In fact, she is the dancer pictured at center in this archival image.

Meet Cayce Cavett, joining Terpsicorps for his first season! 🎭

Coming to us from Ballet Memphis, Cayce has a background that includes performing with the Washington Ballet and training at the Houston Ballet Academy and The School at Jacob’s Pillow. Whether he's taking on the title role in a contemporary ballet version of Macbeth or performing works by Balanchine, he brings incredible technical range and presence to the stage. We are so excited to see him debut in AscenDANCE this summer!
