A reminder that anger can be powerful. It can be fierce, unfiltered, and impossible to ignore — a signal that something matters, and that energy can be transformed into action.

Anger is energy. Passion. Power. It reminds us that women’s voices demand space — and that expression, in all its forms, is a force to be reckoned with.

At No Man’s Land Film Festival, we celebrate women and genderqueer community members themselves fully — on-screen, behind the lens, and in the stories they choose to tell. Sometimes, being angry is just another way of saying: I exist. I matter. I will be seen.❤️‍🔥

Stories shape how we see the world — and how we see ourselves in it.

That’s why we believe young people deserve access to films that don’t just entertain, but educate, inspire, and expand what feels possible. When youth are introduced to stories of history, resilience, and courage, they don’t just learn what came before — they start to imagine what could come next.

Educational and historic film programs aren’t about the past alone. They’re about planting seeds for confidence, curiosity, and leadership in the next generation. And that’s work we’re proud to do.

🎥 “House of Light” available on our 2026 World Tour. Bring this story to your community by hosting a NMLFF event and help shine a light on strong women in history.

None of us are ever just riding forward in life; we’re all becoming ourselves, little by little, along the way.

For some, biking is sport. For others, it’s survival. For Roxy, it’s freedom — and becoming. 🚴‍♀️

Girls just wanna have fun… and smash the hell out of 5.14c and the patriarchy. 😎

Renowned climber crushed a 5.14c (8c+), but between the chalk dust and redpoint burns, she proves that pushing your limits doesn’t mean leaving joy behind.

Celebrating grit, fun, and everything in between — all in one unforgettable climb. Because crushing hard climbs and having a blast? Why not both.

🌸Spring is here! Here’s to longer days, fresh air, and finding your own path upward. This season, let’s celebrate the joy of belonging — in the mountains, on the trails, at the crags, and beyond. 🌿✨

Stories only exist if we take the time to capture them. Documenting history matters — especially the lives of women whose work, care, and wisdom too often go unseen.🕯️

“House of Light” captures Dr. Sally Snowman, America’s last lighthouse keeper, in her final days at Boston Light. Through her story, we witness a life intertwined with place, tradition, and quiet impact — a history that might otherwise be lost.

Preserving these stories ensures that the contributions, voices, and courage of women continue to illuminate the world for generations to come.

🎬 Proud to screen “House of Light” on our 2026 World Tour.

📣PROUDLY ANNOUNCING OUR 2026 PITCHFEST WINNERS📣

Genderqueer Pitchfest Grant | Mikah Meyer with “Miss Adventure”

Female Filmmaker Grant | Lou Thaller + Luaine Collar with “Alpi (Anti) Express)

Our Female Filmmaker Grant launched in 2015. Since 2020, we’ve created + funded our Black Female, Indigenous Female, and Genderqueer Filmmaker Grants. We’re being really intentional about widening the lens—

AND making sure we aren’t only centering cisgender women, but actively including trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer voices. Not as an afterthought, but as a core part of the community we’re trying to reflect and support.

This evolution has shaped not just the films we program, but the culture we’re trying to build—one where people feel seen. Do you see yourself in the stories being told? Do you see people who share your identity and your background? That’s often the entry point.

So for us, the work—both at No Man’s Land and in the broader outdoor community—is about shifting that. Expanding the narrative, yes, but also softening the edges of the culture. Making it more invitational, more generous, more curious.

Because when people feel like they belong, they don’t just participate—they lead, they advocate, they protect. And that’s how you build a community that’s not only more inclusive, but more resilient and more powerful overall.

Pitchfest would not be possible without the support of + . If you are interested to join our cohort and help support emerging filmmakers and fund future grants, reach out to us → [email protected]

Congrats to these legends, we can’t wait to premiere these films in Denver in 2027.

An all-woman team brought this story to life — from direction, production, and cinematography, to editing and post-production — proving that representation behind the camera matters just as much as on the mountain. 🎬💫

“The Bride of Mont Blanc” follows modern adventurer Elise Wortley as she retraces the first female ascent of Mont Blanc in 1838, exploring both history’s forgotten women and her own journey with the outdoors, and is our 2026 recipient of NMLFF’s Best of Festival Award.
