Old house. Proper house. The kind of records that make you stop what you’re doing, pull one out, look at the label and immediately want to hear what’s hiding in those grooves. Big shout to WAXED for this box.
There is still nothing like putting a record on a Technics, touching the platter, cueing it up and hearing that first kick come through the speakers.
With the SL 1200 legacy heading toward 55 years, this feels pretty damn perfect.
House keeps moving forward, but I will always have love for where it came from.
