I love this painting. One I painted outside on my front porch. Taking a very open natural scene and adding something man-made. Something serving its purpose and still feeling out of place. A previous landscape I’ve done of the French Broad Overlook captures a similar theme. Should I consider this a series in development?🤔

Ode to ginger, acrylic on canvas panel.

Second slide is the reference photo and the last slide is it framed and hung alongside a pet portrait I did years ago of Marley the dog. 🥹 It’s wonderful to see my style develop and grow over the years and it’s always my favorite part of painting to see my work find a home with someone who will love it as much as I do.

Ginger passed away recently and I had the pleasure of giving her as many pets as she would allow in back middle and high school.
