Three FREE days in Pack Square Park. This weekend. ๐ฅ
After the Great Flood of 1916, this city didn't just recover; it boomed. The architecture, the arts, the trades, the neighborhoods. All of it built by people who decided Asheville was worth the work.
Boomtown FestAVL was founded on that same idea. Not a music festival that happens to be in Asheville, but a three-day investment in the ecosystem that makes Asheville ASHEVILLE: the arts, the heritage, the makers, the small businesses, the nonprofits, and the neighbors still rebuilding after Helene.
That's why the weekend is more than stages. Heritage trail tours through the buildings and pioneers that shaped downtown. Workshops and exhibits. A marketplace of regional makers and food vendors putting real dollars back into local hands. Volunteers running it. And all of it free in Pack Square Park, because culture shouldn't be gated.
Then the sun goes down and the rooms that have carried this city's music through every hard year take over. Late Nights at The Orange Peel, Asheville Music Hall and Nightshade: ticketed shows in the venues that hand a stage to independent artists, not just the one everybody's watching.
