Every ticket supports NC Stage's Community Tour, which brings free professional theatre to audiences across Western North Carolina who face real barriers to attendance. Last summer that meant 504 people in senior centers, youth programs, and foster housing experiencing live theatre — many for the first time. That work continues because of people like you.

Meet the artist bringing 16 characters to life!

Before No Child… was a play, it was Nilaja Sun’s life. Her experience as a teaching artist in New York City public schools were messy, funny, and undeniably human. No Child… welcomes us into the world of fictional Malcolm X High School in the Bronx. From students to teachers to the janitors that have seen it all, actor Veanna Black brings a high school community to life.
