Hello my oracle artist friends! Today is August 11, so I wanted to offer you a little encouragement for manifesting your dreams. In numerology, 8-11 is a beautiful combination — it carries the energy of fresh beginnings, personal growth and awakening. It's a great day to start a new project (or get back to creating your cards if you've left them for 'a rainy day.') Think of today as reminder from the universe to trust that inner nudge, welcome change with open hands, and take one small, confident step toward what you want. It's also a great day to start manifesting what you want more of in your life!

Hello incredible oracle deck makers. I just wanted to let you know that I'm presenting a talk in Asheville, NC tonight on the Tarot Major Arcana. I am using some of the slides from the presentation you have on "The Hero's Journey through the Tarot" as I teach participants to make a tarot card of their own. Going through the slides, it was so delightful to see work in them by artists who were part of this course! Here is a piece by Eulalia Mejia illustrating The Lovers card. This is just a small dose of appreciation and encouragement to everyone who has made this class and journey so magical. xox Cathy

Hello friends and loved ones. As you probably already know, my art studio in Asheville, NC was destroyed by Helene, and our city is truly suffering. So many of you have reached out asking for ways to help, and I have created a "Help Cathy Hurricane Studio Rebuild" fund if you feel called to donate. I am also donating 20% of all funds back to the Asheville Community after carefully vetting relief organizations. So far we have funded Brother Wolf animal shelter, River Arts District Artist Helen Relief fund and Equal Plates (local organization feeding hurricane victims here in Asheville). There will be more! Can you believe that and I were in the same artist’s residency in France this February?! It was such a joy to spend this time with my oracle class student and fabulous artist, Elizabeth Lee! Perfect synchronicity. Who knows what the cards have in store for us for the future?!

I am so excited for today because I’ll be sharing a presentation called “The Hero’s Journey Through the Tarot Major Arcana” with my oracle deck students at 1 pm EST. I painted this deck - my Synchronicity Deck - while filming the class, and today’s talk is the culmination of many years of study. There is a beautiful connection between the tarot hero’s journey and the journey of becoming an artist. So much of the process is about understanding your gifts and remembering to use them for the greater good.
