Y’all. Listen. I’m halfway through my ARC read of Chocolate Pudding and Wicked Queens (released today!). Let me tell you, put their whole entire FOOT into this book.

I am enthralled. My mama is obsessed with updates on a certain baby dragon’s shenanigans. Somehow they took the incredible Cinnamon Rolls (“Who says I’m human?” had me cheering obnoxiously in the bathtub) and elevated the series with Chocolate Pudding!

It’s in KU. Read it. Buy it. Read it then buy it. But do not miss out on this series. I’m absolutely in love. Like, I read the first quarter of this book with a migraine (decisions were made ok, mind ya business lol).

All of my loves overlapping in one! If you’ve seen my earlier posts here and/or over at you know how much I adore books. If you’re an OG, you know lettering has been my jam since last decade. And I also adore coloring!!

Gonna start taking it with me so I can color something specific with my youngest nibling while I do auntie daycare 😍 Thank y’all SO much!!

A time was had. Bestie and I made the trek back to Asheville to catch Clipping at Eulogy like last year. 3 successful standby flights later via RDU and DFW, we were in the room where it happened.

Respectfully, my good sir (): I blame you in the best way for the influx of Hamilton fans in the karaoke bar a block away after we left lol. literally got a standing ovation for her rendition of Satisfied (I was Hamilton, Eliza, and the ensemble; how the hell did you DO this?!) and then we turned s**t back up with Guns and Ships (I heard you’ll never do it again so I stepped in and performed all of the main parts lol).

What I’m trying to say is: thank you. You’re such a welcoming and gracious dude. I know you made those kids’ day by coming out to sign autographs and you made ours by coming over to shoot the s**t a little. Sometimes it really is super dope to meet celebrities you f**k with.

Enjoy your break, good luck with the EU/UK leg, andddd if you ever wanna come back to NC with YOUR bestie so I can see y’all perform with MY bestie(s), I promise I’ll know most of the words to any songs y’all do 😂

Babyyyyyy this part of the book! Chiiiiile I was SAT.

“Don’t worry. There’s no mating mark,” I gasp.

“I don’t know if that matters. This fever and the body aches are indicative of a bond being new and your mate not being close.”

“We didn’t bond. He was careful,” I murmur, but my dad’s already stalking from the room, his phone out and his fingers flying across the screen.

I float in and out of consciousness as I hear the telltale sound of a motorcycle moving up the driveway. The thought of Maverick has my muscles loosening and the haze in my mind starting to dissipate.

I can feel him drawing closer and when he’s inside the room, I can breathe again.

“Maverick,” I moan, and he tucks himself against my side as I curl into him, feeling the pain inside of me fade away with each exhale. “You’re here.”

“Your dad called me. S**t, Skye. I think…I think we’ve…f**k, I don’t know how it happened.”

“Oh,” I say, not at all comprehending it. I know that whatever this is will be life-altering, but I’m just so happy I feel better that I can’t even be upset about it. I thought I was going to die. I thought it was all over.

“We’ll fix it. Whatever it is. I promise,” Maverick says just as my dad enters my room and I peer up at him. He doesn’t look happy at all.

“You will fix it,” he murmurs and then shakes his head.

I blush at that and then wiggle a little closer to Maverick, hating that I’ve been reduced to this, but so happy that the fire that was burning me alive is now gone.

“Do you think it was my bite on you that bonded us?”
