Sharon Berebichez’s work invites you to look closely.

As a new artist at Momentum Gallery, and in her inaugural exhibition as part of First Impressions, Berebichez’s mixed-media paintings and sculptures explore ideas of home, memory, identity, and belonging through layered materials and careful handwork. Oil paint, embroidery, found objects, textiles, and beadwork come together in pieces that feel intimate, tactile, and deeply considered.

For Berebichez, repetition becomes a meditative practice. Each stitch, pattern, and surface detail carries meaning, reflecting the ways personal history and domestic space shape how we understand ourselves.

Come spend time with Sharon Berebichez’s work as part of First Impressions, now on view at Momentum Gallery.

Patty Carroll’s photographs pull you in with color, pattern, and richly layered details.

Part of her Anonymous Women series, these works explore the relationship between identity, domestic space, and the objects we surround ourselves with. Layers of wallpaper, fabric, furniture, and household details build immersive scenes that feel playful at first glance and more complex the longer you look.

There is humor here, but also tension. Carroll’s hidden figures invite us to think about the roles women are asked to occupy, the homes they build, and the dreams that can sometimes get buried inside them.

Currently on view as part of What We Carry, these photographs are bold, witty, and impossible to look at just once.

Steven Young Lee’s ceramic works are now on view as part of our First Impressions Showcase. Working in porcelain, Lee draws from centuries-old vessel forms and transforms them through bold glazes, expressive shifts, and unexpected details.

His pieces feel rooted in history while still pushing forward, honoring the beauty of traditional ceramics while questioning ideas of perfection, craft, and form. The result is work that feels elegant, curious, and completely alive in the gallery.

Come experience them in person as part of First Impressions Showcase, now on view at Momentum Gallery.

Asheville’s own Steve Snell brings the wilderness into the gallery.

Now on view at Momentum Gallery, Snell’s solo exhibition features a new series of animal portraits inspired by encounters throughout the American wilderness. Rendered in vivid, expressive color, each painting captures more than a likeness. There is personality in the gaze, presence in the posture, and a sense of quiet connection between artist, subject, and viewer.

These works feel alive in the room, full of energy, character, and the kind of details that ask you to stay a little longer.

Steve Snell’s solo exhibition is on view through August 29. Come experience the work in person.

What do we carry with us?

In What We Carry: Meaning, Memory, and the Human Experience, six contemporary artists explore the memories, questions, responsibilities, and emotional landscapes that shape a life.

Through photography, painting, sculpture, glass, and mixed media, the exhibition moves through themes of love, loss, identity, environmental responsibility, transition, and belonging. Each work approaches these ideas differently, but together they ask us to consider how personal experience takes form.

Featuring Patty Carroll, Seth Clark, Heather Hietala, Pam Longobardi, Robert F. Lyon, and Tim Tate.

Now on view at Momentum Gallery through August 29. Set aside time to walk through the exhibition and see how each artist gives form to the things we hold, remember, and carry forward.
