This beginner wheel throwing class is designed to guide you through the full process, from raw clay to finished pottery. You’ll learn the fundamentals of throwing, trimming, glazing, and building confidence at the wheel, all in a supportive small-class environment.

Because classes are intentionally capped at just 6 students, there’s plenty of one-on-one guidance and time to really enjoy the process.

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗽𝗼𝘁

These teapots are a work in progress.

They’ve been formed, painted in black underglaze, and set aside to dry before the next step.

Underglaze is a colored slip applied to the surface of the clay before firing. It allows for more control in design and creates that rich, matte base before a final glaze is added.

And then there are the real moments in the studio…
A small disk ended up stuck to the surface, not exactly part of the plan, and it needed to be worked loose without damaging the piece.

Learning to pivot when something unexpected happens is part of the process. Not just making, but adjusting, learning, and working through it in real time. Those shifts often lead right back to a successful piece.
