Randolph Quilters Guild Monthly meetings are at 1st Presbyterian Church located at 420 W. Walker Ave, Asheboro NC on the first Thursday of the month at 7pm.

Monthly meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of the month at 7pm at First Presbyterian Church of Asheboro located at 420 West Walker Ave, Asheboro, NC 27203. . Yearly membership dues are $20 in January and increases to $25 afterwards. Guests are welcome to attend

We are currently having our Sew Days at 1st Presbyterian as that allows us more space to spread out given the current circumstances. I

t's free; lasts from 9am-5pm; but is limited to 12 people on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sew Days are where members can bring their project(s) to work on fevery third Friday of the month. You can bring your lunch (there's a fridge and microwave available) or go out to eat. It shall be the purpose and goal of the Guild to promote and perpetuate the art of quilting. The work of the guild is designed to benefit and educate all persons interested in preserving, continuing, and advancing this art. The Guild shall encourage a high standard of design and technique in all forms of quilting, and shall promote the art of quilting by sponsoring workshops and exhibits.

Guild meeting this Thursday doors open 6:30 . A rep from Randolph County Sheriff's Office will discuss their outreach programs. Bring your charity quilts, boutique items, Christmas stockings. And yard sale donations. 🧡πŸͺ‘

The last quilt Jessie shared for her Sleeping Under History program is a summer appliqued quilt from 1938, it had no batting in it. And BTW she said any quilt prior to 1986 is now considered vintage. Thank you Jessie Taliaferro for traveling from Raleigh to present this wonderful program and thank you Terri for organizing the program.

Jessie had lots of feed sacks to share, popular from 1920-30's, here's a 9 patch.
