A few photos from The Ricochet 216 held June 16, 2026. Congratulations to Aiden who won with 4.5 points. A notable performance by Jackson Woodard, who had a draw vs Matt Moss in round three, and managed an upset win against Mark Stout in round 4.

Asheboro Chess Club will be canceled Tuesday 3/24/2026 due to roof repairs at the Asheboro Public Library.

Sorry folks, this wasn't expected but I just found out. Fortunately, we did meet last week and had a blast for the Ricochet 214. I hope to post some photos soon!

ASHEBORO CHESS CLUB meeting for March 10, 2026 is CANCELLED due to a temporary Library Closure.

Asheboro Public Library announced this week long closure to replace their roof from March 9-13 2026.

Join us for our scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 17th! We have our Ricochet tournament scheduled for this date, held downstairs. Five rounds of US Chess Federation rated chess, G/8 d3. Fast and fun!

Asheboro Chess Club meeting is officially CANCELED for February 3, 2026 due to lingering snow and ice.

Asheboro Library will be on limited hours this Tuesday, February 3, and will most likely close early. For everyone's safety and convenience, Asheboro Chess Club is officially canceled for February 3, 2026. Everyone stay safe!
