I'm very honored that a portrait of a little "someone" has been accepted in the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, Best of America Exhibit hosted at Ballard's Fine Art Gallery in Sheridan, Wyoming! This gorgeous exhibit will be on display from September 1 through 26, 2026! The photos below show in backwards progression my painting process. The the earliest stages look nothing like the finished painting...its a labor of love. Thx for looking!

Only two more weeks until our exhibit at Creative Brush Studio/Gallery, "America the Beautiful" closes! Below are two works of three works that are currently in the exhibit. The one of the left, "View from the Little Chapel That Stood" is a view of the graveyard at St. Paul’s Chapel which sits just a block from the World Trade Center site. The large waving flag seen from the graveyard of St. Paul’s is a noble reminder of our Country’s resilience through trials. Known as “The Little Chapel That Stood”, the historical church remarkably survived 9/11 without a single broken window. It along with it’s surrounding churchyard is a remarkable landmark of our early beginnings as a country as well as a memorial to those who died and responded to the September 11 tragedy. St. Paul’s opened in 1766 and is the oldest surviving church in Manhattan. In 1789, immediately after taking the oath of office at nearby Federal Hall, George Washington walked to St. Paul's Chapel to attend a prayer service for the newly formed country. This particular view is from the graveyard behind the church. The adjacent building with the American flag hanging from its second story was built in 1930 by architect Cass Gilbert and was once the headquarters of the New York County Lawyers' Association (NYCLA). The painting on the right is called "The Light of Liberty" Thanks for looking!
