When legendary high school theatre director Howard Engels secretly selects the worst play in school history in hopes of avoiding yet another exhausting state competition, his new assistant director reluctantly goes along with the plan. The play, "Lactose Free and Me," is about the trials and tribulations of living with lactose intolerance. When the production accidentally advances farther than anyone expected, a group of theatre students must decide whether they're willing to fight for a production their own director has already given up on. Filled with outrageous student-written one-acts and backstage chaos, this play is an affectionate satire of competition theatre. States celebrates the messy, joyful process of making art and the teachers who inspire us, disappoint us, and ultimately teach us how to find our own voices.

CLUE NEEDS YOU!

We are recruiting students and parent volunteers to help bring our production of Clue: High School Edition to life. No previous technical theatre experience is required. We are looking for students who are willing to learn, collaborate, and help make something awesome.

Opportunities include microphones, props, sound effects, projections, sound and light board operation, lighting design and programming, spotlights, construction, SPAD, digital art and animation for projection design, publicity artwork, and photography.

Students and parents can scan the appropriate QR code in the graphic to sign up.

Our Tech Crew Meeting will be Thursday, September 24 at 6:00 PM, immediately following States rehearsal.

Tech Build Days:
Saturday, November 14, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Saturday, November 21, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM

You do not need to be enrolled in Technical Theatre to participate, and you do not need prior experience. We can teach you.

Come help us build the murder mansion.
