BEAST OF THE DAY: this painting on canvas stretched around Masonite has a steel support in the back. Weighing in at a solid 200 pounds this guy was a beast to get on the wall. Used 2 - 265 pound zip toggles and pure muscle to get it up.

I had opportunity to illustrate the cover of a digital book. Being that the book was digital I've had the original sitting around in my studio for several years. I decided to frame him and post on FB marketplace. And Whaddya know there was someone out there with a 'thang' for sea otters who bought it within minutes of posting it.

this sea otter was a lil guy who hung out near the docks at Jensens's down in Captiva Florida where I used to go during Christmas every year with my boyfriends family. I used pics of him as my reference. We would fish off the docks and catch sheep's head and other local fish and there was a cleaning stand right there. This guy would hang out all day and eat the scraps. He was used to all the tourists and would come directly up to you and take food from your hand. his favorite place to eat though was off of his belly floating on his back. Cute little guy.

Fond memories.

I installed this space in Washington, DC—art procured through ArtLifting, supporting underrepresented artists instead of the usual safe, soulless choices.

The massive digital mural doesn’t sit still. It shifts. Abstract one moment, full-on running waterfalls the next. There’s sound at the door. Movement in the room. A reminder that work doesn’t have to feel dead just because it’s “professional.”

This is what happens when corporate spaces stop trying to control people and start supporting them.

BEAST OF THE DAY: Nestled in a 3rd floor stairwell, the scale and context of this beautiful painting make it truly breathtaking. Not only is it technichally well executed, it measures 10 feet long! Pictures dont do justice. It's truly a stunning piece that dominates this stairwell and is naturally highlighted by the skylight above.

Don’t worry, the red abstract to the left will be replaced- it competes.
