This beautiful show stands on its own while being a symbol of renewal after a long season of Covid shutdowns and the return of large and safe gatherings. We felt it’s time to get back to sharing exhibitions with the public and opening up new options for art collectors and patrons of WHITEPOINT.

- - -

ARTICULTURE is a show of four different artists directly or indirectly influenced by floral themes. Of course the WHITEPOINT take is not traditional, but an argument can be made - who can improve upon a flower? That's up to the viewer and the artists will not disappoint.

We are pleased to announce that Tom has been selected to participate in the Ad Art Show in one of the coolest venues in New York - the Oculus at the World Trade Center. He’ll be showing three to four pieces from his “Two Sides To Every Story”, a hybrid mixed media series that involve acrylic painting, microphotography, and digital imaging. Each displayed artwork represents a greatly magnified 1x1.5 inch segment of each small painting and reveal interactions that can only be seen with this high resolution photographic process.

“Back Alley Bloom” - new work by Tom … “The image juxtapose two of my favorite things - the weathered remains of graffiti and urban decay, and the audacity of flowers. It’s a back-alley photo reconstruction using flowers as the central tag, an urban art portrait with the flower as the subject. The two radically different aesthetics complement each other beautifully.” . . . .
Multiple exposure photographs with digital painting and imaging, printed on a beautiful cotton rag paper. . . . .

Participation in this juried show is limited to amateur photographers 18 years of age and older. Picture an art gallery by the ocean. You might be thinking walls being lined with paintings of sail boats and people with beach umbrellas. But Exhibit No.9 is different.

The gallery in downtown Asbury Park specializes in contemporary pieces, though its latest exhibit is a mixture of its location AND its mission statement — one that pays tribute both to the Atlantic Ocean just a few blocks away and the “urban sensibility” the gallery aims to bring to its area.
