Our Season Postponed by Trump’s DEI Witch Hunt — Fueled by Fear

Trump’s systematic dismantling of LGBTQ+ rights includes threats to businesses and donors who support diversity, equity, and inclusion.

His draconian policies have reached some of our startup donors.

We must pause production while we focus on raising the funds needed to continue.

Ticket revenue covers only a fraction of nonprofit theater budgets.

We rely on private philanthropy and individual donations to bridge the gap and sustain our mission.

We are grateful for House of Independents and their unwavering support. They are literally holding space for us and our return.

We are not stepping back. We are pausing with purpose — to regroup, strategize, and return with the backing that can withstand the kinds of setbacks we’re now facing.

Liberace & Liza Minnelli never performed together, but that didn’t stop David Saffert & Jillian Snow from creating this wildly successful mashup of two over-the-top icons. Saffert’s dizzying piano skills and Snow’s powerhouse belt team up on "Cabaret", "New York, New York", "Over the Rainbow", "The Man That Got Away" plus surprise covers of Lady Gaga and Britney Spears hits. There are as many laughs as there are sequins when their Liberace & Liza take hilarious (and sometimes mischievous) turns vying for the spotlight.

Thorgy Thor, star of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 8 and All Stars Season 3, makes a very special guest appearance on Saturday night! (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Theater Q Asbury, New Jersey's new LGBTQ+ focused theater company, will make its debut this October with Zanna Don't – The Reboot! running from October 10-13, 2024 at the House of Independents in Asbury Park. This fresh take on the 2003 Off-Broadway musical is directed by its original creator, Freehold native Tim Acito, and promises to bring audiences a joyous, funny, thought-provoking celebration which manages to be timely and vintage at the same time.

Rehearsals for Zanna Don't - The Reboot! have begun in Manhattan. The cast under the direction of Tim Acito were put through their paces including, a cold read through, music rehearsals, choreography, costume fittings, publicity photo sessions and social media video recordings. The cast bonded quickly; laughter rang through the rehearsal halls, as did a lot of sweat. Zanna Don't - The Reboot! is off to a great start!
