I have always been supported in exploring my creative process through my wonderful family members and peers. This led to my learning of every form of art and craft I could get my hands on and in the end going to college to become an art educator. The arts have been a huge part of how I developed into who I am and how I overcome challenges to this day. Implementing art into each aspect of my life h
as been life changing and I hope to help others discover what art might do for them. My shop has become a different way for me to share my art/craft and create items that reflect and support what I value. I have always been attached to the idea of comfort. Being able to develop artistic skills and then gear them towards something that gives someone a sense of peace or home is important to me, and has been a fun way to explore possibilities for my shop. A huge influence for me also comes from my mom and her love of gardening. She has put so much into becoming an amazing gardener and I have been lucky enough to be able to watch and learn from her process. Over the years I have gained a love for gardening myself and even with limited space have found a way to create my own little sanctuary of plants. The process of growing something and putting so much care into the life of a plant brings me to that place of comfort and love. This is where the base of Stone Sprouts developed. I started to incorporate plants that I grow into what I make and also made tools to aid me in the growing process. Through this process I have gained a stronger connection to what I make and better know the quality of what goes into every step of my creations. For me, this is a true connection of the creative process that has motivated me for so long, and the ability to share that feeling of comfort gardening gives me with others. My hope is to supply others with items that give them that sense of comfort and/or helps in the process of creating it for themselves.
