The Commission’s mission is to actively plan, coordinate, and produce events for all ages in Arvada. Come join the fun!

The Arvada Festivals Commission is an organization of twenty five, Council-appointed Arvada volunteers who plan and produce diverse, family-oriented events. Volunteers to help plan and produce these events are always welcomed and appreciated.

Our next Movies Around Town feature is GOAT! 🎬

Bring a blanket and join us Friday, Sept. 18, for another free movie night under the evening sky at Arvada Volunteer Firefighters Park.

Come early — the fun starts at 6:45 p.m. with live music from James Hurtado, plus soft serve from the Power Cone truck and a GOAT-themed contest with a basketball hoop up for grabs. The movie starts on our giant inflatable screen around 8 p.m.

The votes are in! 💀 “The Nightmare Before Christmas” is the winner of this year’s People’s Choice Movie Poll!

Thanks to everyone who voted. Jack Skellington and friends took the top spot with 133 votes (32%), which means they’re headed to the big screen for our final Movies Around Town event of the year.

Last Friday, West Woods Park was the place to be! 🎬🌿

Thanks to everyone who joined us for Movies Around Town and a showing of Little Shop of Horrors! The evening featured live music from Shaun Peace, sweet treats from Power Cone, a Little Shop-themed photo booth and, of course, a movie under the stars. 🌙🍿

🎥 Movies Around Town returns Friday, Sept. 18! Join us at Arvada Volunteer Firefighters Park for another free night of live music and a movie. Live music starts at 6:45 p.m., followed by the movie at 8 p.m.

Smiles, teacups and new memories. ☕🌱

This year’s High Tea for Seniors brought together about 130 guests for an afternoon of connection and celebration this past Saturday. From posing in the photo booth to planting succulents in vintage teacups with our partners at Sage Spade, there were plenty of special moments to capture.

Among our guests was 103-year-old Linora Mahan, who has lived in Arvada since 1961! She shared a simple piece of wisdom with us: “Keep busy, do for others as long as you’re able to.”

A special thank you to our volunteers from the Arvada Festivals Commission for helping make the afternoon such a welcoming and memorable experience. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s High Tea so special.
