🎶 NEW SINGER SPOTLIGHT 🎶

Meet Heather Russell (she/her), one of the newest voices joining The Arlington Chorale’s Soprano I section! ✨

Originally from Brunswick, Georgia, Heather and her fiancé moved to Arlington in March 2026 for his job after previously living in Houston. Both are originally from Georgia, and Heather says they’re loving being back on the East Coast—and that Arlington has been amazing so far. She describes herself as chatty, loving, and kind, which sounds like a pretty wonderful addition to the TAC family. 💜

Heather found The Arlington Chorale by searching for local choirs in Arlington—proof that sometimes a Google search really can lead you to exactly the right place. 😉 She loves autumn, although she admits the DMV’s gorgeous spring blooms may be changing her mind! 🌸🍂

A few Heather essentials: coffee and chocolate chip cookies ☕🍪, The Princess Diaries 1 & 2 as her comfort movies, and hobbies that include hiking, traveling, cooking, baking, and seeing movies in the theater. Her favorite travel destinations are a toss-up between Marseilles, France and Cannon Beach, Oregon.

One of her most meaningful recent musical experiences was singing Precious Lord, arranged by Arnold Sevier, at a reunion of her collegiate choir that brought together singers spanning 16 years. She says it was her favorite piece from the concert. 🎼💗

And perhaps most importantly: Heather is the proud human of four very spoiled cats—Figaro, Joon, Pluto, and Leo. 😻😻😻😻

Themed rehearsals are a fun monthly tradition at The Arlington Chorale! Last night we did Falling for Fall as our first one of the season: members came decked out in their fall colors to rehearse for our upcoming season opener on 10/24. Stay tuned for one of these each month 🍂🍁🎶

🎶 NEW SINGER SPOTLIGHT 🎶

Meet Annalise DePaull (she/her), one of the newest voices joining The Arlington Chorale’s Alto II section! 💕🎶

Originally from Rochester, New York, Annalise knew she wanted to find a choir after coming to the area—so she simply searched for “choirs in Arlington, VA.” We’re very happy that search led her to TAC! Her favorite color is pink!! (the double exclamation points feel important 💗), and fall is her favorite season. 🍂

When she’s not singing, Annalise enjoys reading and cooking, and she counts Rocky Mountain National Park among her favorite places she’s visited. 🏔️📚 She’s also a Star Wars fan—so clearly, the Force is strong with this alto. ✨ Her favorite piece she’s sung is And So It Goes, arranged by Bob Chilcott.

🎶 NEW SINGER SPOTLIGHT 🎶

Meet Tara Morin (she/her), one of the newest voices joining The Arlington Chorale’s Soprano II section! 💛🎶

Originally from West Virginia, Tara moved to the DMV with her family while she was in high school. She describes herself as curious, silly, and kind—a combination we’re pretty sure will fit right in with the TAC family. She found The Arlington Chorale through a good old-fashioned Google search, and we’re very glad she did! ✨

Music is clearly a big part of Tara’s world. When she isn’t singing, she loves playing piano, arranging choral music, and running… along with what she very accurately lists as “harassing my cats.” 😹🎹 Her favorite piece she’s sung is Elaine Hagenberg’s beautiful By Night.

A few more Tara essentials: brownies are the food of choice 🍫, winter is her favorite season ❄️, Greece tops her travel list 🇬🇷, and her TV tastes range impressively from Glee to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. We love the range. 😂

We are so pleased to be partnering with EcoAction Arlington this year on an initiative to get our community to plant 60 trees in honor of our 60th Anniversary, and we need your help! Meet Bailey Kinsella (she/her), one of the newest voices joining The Arlington Chorale’s Soprano I section! ✨
Originally from New Jersey, Bailey moved to Wi******er in 2019 to attend Shenandoah Conservatory—and quickly fell in love with Virginia’s mountains. After graduating, she began teaching elementary music in Fairfax County and made her way closer to DC. She found The Arlington Chorale through fellow music teachers and colleagues, which feels especially fitting for someone who describes herself as “silly, sweet, and generous.” 🎵💜
A few more things to know about Bailey: she runs on iced coffee ☕, loves scrapbooking and traveling, counts Venice, Italy among her favorite places, and is a fan of The Nightingale, Mamma Mia! and Outlander. Her favorite piece she’s sung? Jake Runestad’s Sing Wearing the Sky. 🌍🎶

💥💥Young singer opportunity alert!💥💥
Do you have a middle or high school student that loves to sing and create positive change in their community? Performers With Purpose, a program from The Arlington Chorale for youth ages 11-18, sets young singers up to perform challenging music, engage with local non-profits, and earn service hours through innovative collaborations with community groups. We’ve got a great year planned for 2026-27, including a tour to Carnegie Hall, and we’re looking for new members: check out arlingtonchorale.org/youth for more info and application.
