If you have seen my art pieces many are related to the ocean waves, shells and beaches, that’s because I was born in California and lived my childhood in Huntington Beach.

The beach was my playground and the Lifeguards were my guardian angels, they looked after me and Lifeguard Hut Tower number 6 was my main hangout.

I learned a lot from the lifeguards and became fearless of the waves and riptides, just ride it out, don’t try to fight the current because you will lose. Just enjoy the ride, kinda like life you don’t know where it will take you.

In the early morning I watched the surfers taking on the big waves,
they ruled the waves until noon.
I remember dodging the surfboards by dunking under the waves.
I wasn’t the best swimmer, I just counted on the waves and tides to bring me safely back to shore. Plus I had no fear because the lifeguards were always near by.

Huntington Beach, California is known as “Surf City, USA” and it lives up to its name. Big surfing waves and 8.5 miles of beautiful beach and mild climate. Until later,
