Arlington Master Chorale

Arlington Master Chorale The Arlington Master Chorale is a self-supporting, non-profit, volunteer chorus. Today, the organization exists as the Arlington Master Chorale.

The Arlington Master Chorale began in 1973 as the Arlington Civic Chorus, founded by members of First Presbyterian Church and Michael Kemp. Over the past 5+ decades, the group evolved from a humble community choir into a polished ensemble with international acclaim. Under the leadership of directors like Dr. David Keith, Jing Ling-Tam, Henry Gibbons, Randy Jordan, and Reginal Wright, AMC has performed major works such as Verdi’s Requiem, Bach’s Magnificat, and Orff’s Carmina Burana in venues across England, Austria, Italy, and Carnegie Hall. On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, AMC provided the World Premiere of Elaine Hagenburg's spectacular and deeply moving, Illuminare. In 2023, members of the choir joined with choruses from around the world to present the European premiere of the same piece in London, England. The choir has collaborated with renowned composers and conductors, including John Rutter, Z. Randall Stroope, Mack Wilberg, and Miguel Harth-Bedoya, and partnered with the Fort Worth Symphony and local youth choirs. AMC is deeply committed to education and community, offering scholarships and mentoring young singers. With a legacy of artistic excellence and heartfelt service, AMC continues to uplift audiences and represent Arlington with pride. AMC begins its 2025-2026 season with new Artistic Director, Kay Owens.
