This the one who got it all started…my Grandma!!!

I spent my childhood summers and Christmas vacations shadowing her in the salon while she worked on her clients.

Now I’m doing the clients and She’s visiting me!

It’s an honor to work in the same industry that she did and her support has always been so encouraging!

Today marks my 16th year in business and the beginning of year 17!

I went into business for myself when I couldn’t get hired for a part-time job as a teenager, it has blossomed into a whole career!

It has been a rockin’ rollercoaster at times, but through it all I can say…

My husband gave me a jar of written words of encouragement for my birthday and it lives on my desk at work!

I just pulled this one and it is such a perfect reminder for today and everyday!

Words are so powerful. We use them to convey messages and paint mental images for ourselves and the people we speak too.

Sometimes those word-pictures are not always positive, but that is the beauty about being the artist, we can change that!

It puts a whole new spin on “having command of the English language “!

What is a toner? What does a toner do?

Same client. Same highlights. Major difference.

The picture on the left is the raw lift.
The picture on the right has been lifted and toned.

The toning service blends, corrects unwanted tones, enhances the tones you want to see, and most importantly protects the lightened hair.

Some clients like their raw lift and for those clients I reach for a clear glossing treatment.

It’s all about tone! Every blonding service has toning built in, and each toning service is built around what my client want to see. And the beauty of toning is that we can change it up at each blonding session, it is totally customizable!

This client started initially with a cool matte blonde, her toner has worn off and she’s loving her highlights at the tone of her lift! (Btw, she had one of the cleanest lifts I’ve ever seen! 💯)
