If my scars could talk they'd scream about the anxiety that replaced them.
Anxiety would gossip about the depression that chased them.
Depression would praise the neglect that birthed them.
The neglect would slit the wrist of the abuse that groomed them.
The abuse will sit cocky knowing that it's the hair trigger that gave life to them all.
But the fear, that's one thing not allowed to reside here.
Because yea, tho I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
I sit down with my demons and allow them to introduce themselves.
I give gratitude for their existence;
I honor their sacrifice of protection!
I allow them to teach me the lessons in which I've yet to learn.
I stop running from my demons.
I sit still in the awkward conversations.
I allow them to homicide my ego,
Constructive criticize my destructive patterns, and rebirth my mental.
