Join us for Dance With Me! 🌸 This program is designed for students ages 18 months to 3 years old. This program takes the basics of ballet technique and, through the use of props and imagination, gives children a fun and educational class.

Classes have just started but our Ensemble has been busy in rehearsals all of August! We took some time to have a little fun this weekend with a big/little sister reveal and a race to save Tinker Bell! From Nutcracker to Winter Gala and more, looking forward to a great year!

We are excited to welcome back Celine Spinka O’Brien!

Celine grew up training in her hometown of Redding, California. She is a graduate from Butler University with a major in Dance Pedagogy. She spent summers training at The Jillana School, Long Beach Ballet, Ballet West, Ballet Met, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, and River North Dance Chicago. She has been fortunate to work with teachers and choreographers such as Frank Chavez, Lesley Telford, Ronn Stewart, Hanna Brictson, Noelle Kayser, Robyn Mineko Williams and Jessica Miller Tomlinson among others. Since moving to Chicago, she has danced with Moonwater Dance Project, Elements Contemporary Ballet, Cocodaco Dance Project, Little Fire Artist Collective as well as freelanced throughout the city participating in dance festivals such as Take Up Space, Going Dutch, Trifecta Dance Festival, Detroit Dance City Festival, and Dance for Life. As a choreographer, O’Brien has created work for Moonwater Dance Project main and youth companies, Little Fire Artist Collective, and Hot Crowd.

Contact the studio if you are interested in the Free Adult Jazz Class! Ms. Celine will be teaching Adult Jazz on Thursday evenings this fall. Come meet Ms. Celine and try out her fantastic class. Adults Only (ages 18 and up), 3:00 - 4:00 pm; participants should wear dance or form-fitting athletic gear.

We are excited for you to meet Megan Senesac!

Megan is excited to join the Arlington Dance Academy staff! She received her early training at the Barrington Dance Academy and performed with the Barrington Dance Ensemble. She also participated in summer training through the Joffrey Ballet and the Royal Academy of Dance. Megan has been trained in the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus. She has taught ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theater at the Barrington Dance Academy. She also had the opportunity to teach ballet for youth at The Women’s Athletic Club in Chicago under the direction of the Joffrey Ballet. Megan has been a classroom teacher in the Barrington Schools for 25 years. She is a certified Barre and Piyo Fitness Instructor. Megan has two daughters who adore their classes, teachers, and performances at Arlington Dance Academy!

We are getting excited for the new year and we hope you are too! Several of our teachers met this past weekend to brush up on some very important safety skills. A HUGE thank you to Ms Katie who helped us renew our certifications for CPR and AED.

They still got it! Whether it has been 2 years or 10 these dancers can still move! 😍 It was such a joy to have some of our alumni back in class last night. We can’t wait to do it again.
