Senior Spotlight: Magdalena Lazar

Madzia is a 3-year member of the choir program at Hersey having been in Treble and Chorale. Her favorite songs sung in choir is ‘O Holy Night.’ Madzia’s favorite memory is the freshman year choir project!

Maija is a 4-year member of the choir program at Hersey having been in Concert Choir, Chorale, Chamber Choir and OnStage. Her favorite songs sung in choir is ‘Orion’ and ‘Big Yellow Taxi.’ Maija’s favorite memory is traveling to Nashville, so much MUSIC and FUN!.

Ryan is a 2-year member of the choir program at Hersey having been in Chamber Choir and OnStage. His favorite song sung in choir is ‘Brighter Days.’ Ryan’s favorite memory is traveling to Europe with the choir.

Shyla is a 4-year member of the choir program at Hersey having been in Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, D214 Honors Choir, and OnStage. Her favorite song sung in choir is ‘Song of Purple Summers.’ Shyla’s favorite memory is going on the Nashville trip with my friends.

Her advice to underclassmen: “Forge your own opportunities, especially when faced with resistance or adversity!”

Vlad is a 2-year member of the choir program at Hersey having been in Concert Choir. His favorite song sung in choir is ‘Non Nobis Domine.’ Vlad’s favorite memory is his first day in choir and being Santa.

Last night all our choirs came together for the Spring Concert including our SuperSingers, Concert Choir, Chorale, and Chamber Choirs. This group performance of Count on Me is sure to bring a smile! Congrats to all our seniors on their last performance with Hersey Choir!

Senior Spotlight: Bella Pasillas

Bella is a 4-year member of the choir program at Hersey having been in Treble Choir, Concert Choir, Chorale, and OnStage. Her favorite song sung in choir is ‘Can’t Catch Me Now.’ Bella’s favorite memory is getting to be in Hersey Chorale and experience all the different a capella pieces they have sung throughout the year.
