National Vet Tech Week is a good reason to say what should probably get said more often: veterinary technicians make the whole practice run. They are the ones restraining a nervous patient, running labs, and translating a treatment plan into something an anxious owner can actually follow, often within the same five minutes.

At WVC Nashville, we caught up with a veterinary technician on the show floor to hear about her experience working with AlphaFlo® in practice. Watch the clip, then tag a vet tech on your team who deserves the recognition this week, or drop their name in the comments so we can celebrate them with you.

Regenerative options for dogs have multiplied fast, and it is not always obvious how they actually compare once you get past the marketing. Our Lunch and Learn sessions are built to walk through that comparison directly: how a ready to use canine amniotic tissue allograft differs from PRP and other autologous therapies in protein consistency, reproducibility across patients, and how much prep time a case actually requires before use.

We bring lunch for your team, and our Chief Scientific Officer, Christian Beaudry, MBA, CTBS, DABRM, brings a clear look at the data with plenty of time for your questions.

Watching a dog go from limping through the exam room to flying over agility bars again is the kind of transformation that keeps veterinarians in this field. Getting there usually takes more than one appointment, and owners often want to understand what that middle stretch of recovery actually looks like.

Our newest blog walks through what functional recovery tends to involve for active and working dogs, what progress typically looks like week to week, and the questions worth bringing to your veterinarian along the way.

This little dog started squinting on a Thursday, and by Friday her veterinarian, Audrey Turbeville, DVM, found the reason during a closer eye exam. At her veterinarian's discretion, AlphaFlo® was incorporated into her care plan the same day.

By Saturday she was resting comfortably in a cone while her eye began to heal, and by Sunday her owner noticed she was already opening it more easily and acting like herself again.

This is one documented case, not a guarantee of how every eye issue will respond, but it is a useful reference if you are managing something similar. See more veterinarian accounts at https://alphaflocanine.com/vet-testimonials/.

The signs of slowing down rarely show up all at once. A little more hesitation before jumping in the car, a shorter walk before turning back home, a nap that stretches on a bit longer than it used to. Most owners notice these changes long before they mention them at an appointment.

Bringing them up early gives your veterinarian more room to talk through options while your dog is still comfortable and active, rather than waiting for a harder conversation later.

If you have ever heard the term amniotic tissue allograft and wondered what it actually means for your dog's care, you are not alone. It is one of the most common questions pet owners bring up once they hear the word regenerative.

Our newest blog breaks down where this tissue comes from, how it differs from other regenerative options like stem cells and PRP, and what questions are worth asking your veterinarian if the topic comes up during a visit.

Conferences are long, and every booth could use a little levity by hour three. Our Chief Scientific Officer, Christian Beaudry, MBA, CTBS, DABRM, put his juggling skills to work at WVC Nashville this year, with Ginger Johnson and Dr. Bigbie right there cheering him on between conversations about canine amniotic tissue allografts.

This is what a week at a veterinary conference actually looks like behind the science. Watch the clip to see how many balls he keeps in the air, and stop by our booth at the next show to talk shop in person.

Team AlphaFlo® is heading to Charlotte, North Carolina next week for the ACVS Surgery Summit, running October 7 through 10. This crowd, board certified surgeons and specialty practitioners, gathers every year to compare emerging regenerative options for their most complex orthopedic cases, one of the reasons our clinical team looks forward to this particular summit.

Charlotte draws a strong turnout of specialists from across the country, and this year's agenda includes sessions on regenerative approaches many attendees are already using in surgical practice.

Cooler mornings call for a cozier lineup, and this month's AlphaFlo® pick is built for it. This crewneck sweatshirt is heavyweight enough for chilly parking lot mornings at the clinic and soft enough for a Saturday off duty, the same one our team has been wearing at conferences all fall.

Sizes move quickly once a batch sells out, so grab yours before this one is gone at https://renovo-equine.myshopify.com/products/unisex-premium-sweatshirt, and tag us in a photo once it arrives.
