Salt, a little brown sugar, uncovered in the fridge for as long as you can spare the space. SO much easier than finding a way to store a 25-pounder in a bunch of liquid brine!
The fam keeps asking when the house is going to start smelling like Thanksgiving. ☺️👃🏻🦃

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!! 🍗🥔
While I miss the years of 30-50 people at Thanksgiving, I was merely a guest then, so it was a way different experience. I LOVE that we are able to host so many people at our house, with room for adults and kids and tons of food & drink & games. I wish my whole, gigantic, crazy family could come, but the ones who will be here will make me so happy!....................

One of my fave new dinners...baked sliders! The kids are SO excited by these! 🤷🏻‍♀️
Press ground beef into a baking dish that comfortably fits a few rows of slider rolls. Season heartily. Bake at 375 for about 15 minutes. Remove the meat "slab" and dry out the dish. Place slider bun bottoms in baking dish. Top with meat, cheese, then bun tops. Brush bun tops with melted butter and place the whole setup back into the oven until cheese is melted and buns are warm, about 5 mins. Serving with frozen brown rice and edamame. ................................................
